Wyatte Magee Griffith

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Wyatte Magee Griffith, age 80, of New Hebron, MS who passed away October 30, 2010 at his residence. Rev. Charles Burnham officiated. Interment followed at Whitesand Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Service of Prentiss handled the arrangements. Pallbearers were Troy Hall, Chad Lee, Larry Lee, Mitchell Roberts, David Lee and Ron Garber. Wyatte Magee Griffith was born August 10, 1930 in Jefferson Davis County, MS. He was the son of F.M. Griffith and Ona Magee Griffith. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Griffith was a cattle farmer and worked in the oil field business for 40 years. He retired as a Production Foreman with Apache Oil Company. He was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Catherine L. Griffith of New Hebron, MS; two sisters, Kitty Riley of Clinton, MS and Dixie Walker of Brookhaven, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a brother and two sisters.
