Emily Faye Keisman Foret entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the age of 64. A native of Prentiss, MS., she was a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past 16 years. She was a loving mother of two daughters, Erin Foret and Elizabeth Foret and a loving grandmother to 3 year old, Julie Faye Foret. She is also survived by her father, Paul Keisman of Prentiss, MS; a sister, Ella Lane of Prentiss, MS and a brother, John (Nancy) Keisman of Luling, La and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Faye McCoy Keisman. Emily was a registered nurse graduate of St. Dominic School of Nursing in Jackson, MS and later completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from William Carey-Baptist Hospital New Orleans campus. She truly enjoyed her vocation as a registered nurse for almost 40 years and was well respected and admired for her clinical expertise and compassionate care. Her career spanned many areas of nursing, including a 16 year tenure as Head Nurse of Baptist Hospital New Orleans Outpatient Dialysis Center. In the early 1970’s she was instrumental in securing a grant with two Baptist Hospital physicians that sent them all to open and train the staff of the first dialysis unit in Jakarta, Indonesia and also provided training to another clinic in Sydney, Australia. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Prentiss United Methodist Church, 2205 Leaf Avenue, Prentiss, MS. Interment will be private.
