Allie Mathison Myers

Funeral services were held Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS, for Mrs. Allie Mathison Myers, age 88, of Prentiss who died Monday, October 4, 2010 at the Extended Care Facility in Prentiss. Dr. French Tripp officiated. Mr. Matthew Lee and Mrs. Patricia Williams provided inspirational music. Interment followed in Prentiss Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Johnny Bush, Glen Bush, Howard Parish, Hank Mathison, Matt Mathison, and Chris Mathison. Allie Beryl Mathison Myers was born December 23,1921 in Jefferson Davis County, MS. She was the daughter of Luther Livingston and Daisy Winstead Livingston. She was the widow of William Henry Mathison and Lee Myers. Mrs. Myers worked in the Tax Assessor Office for many years and served as the Jefferson Davis County Tax Assessor for 4 years. She belonged to the Sororis Club and the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century Club. She was a member of the Prentiss Presbyterian Church. She is survived by three sons: Don Mathison of Memphis, TN, Billy Mathison of Madison, MS, and Keith Mathison of Lawrenceville, GA; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, three brothers and two sisters.
