Lois Gordon

Funeral services were Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Dublin Baptist Church, Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Lois Gordon, age 99, of Carson, MS who died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Pearl River Hospital in Poplarville, MS. Rev. L. C. Anthony and Rev. Diana Deaton officiated. Interment followed in Dublin Cemetery. Pallbearers were Reggie Boleware, Jace Boleware, Mike Boleware Steve Marks, Brian Blackmon, and Larry Blackmon. Lois Elwin Boleware Gordon was born November 29, 1910 in Jefferson Davis County, MS. She was the daughter of Isaiah Raybon and Elmer Parkman Raybon. She worked at Milady’s Dress Shop in Prentiss for many years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of Carson Methodist Church. Mrs. Gordon is survived by a son, David Boleware of Carson, MS; two daughters: Sue Marks of Marco Island, FL and JoAnn McPhail of Collins, MS; a step-daughter, Nay Cliburn of Prentiss, MS; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands: E.W. Boleware and A. B. Gordon; a son and a daughter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dublin Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
