Mary H. Griffith

Funeral services were held Monday, August 30, 2010 at Whitesand Baptist Church in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Mary H. Griffith, age 80, of Prentiss, MS who passed away August 27, 2010 at her residence. Rev. Charles Burnham and Rev. Carroll Rippy officiated. Interment followed at Whitesand Cemetery. Pall bearers were Marcus Lane, Jerry Q. Magee, Larry McInnis, Robert Cornet, Mitchell Roberts and Jacob Griffith. Mary Helen Griffith was born November 10, 1929 in Jefferson Davis County, MS. She was the daughter of John R. McInnis and Mabel Parish McInnis. She was a homemaker. She had also worked with several florists in Prentiss and at 84 Truck & Tractor. She was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. Mrs. Griffith is survived by her sons, Carl Griffith, J. R. Griffith and George Griffith all of Prentiss, MS; a brother, Ray McInnis of Mt. Olive, MS; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Truett Griffith, two brothers and three sisters.
