Funeral services were held Friday, June 25, 2010 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Petal, MS for Rev. B. A. “Buddy” Conway, age 83, of Runnelstown, MS who passed away June 23, 2010 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Rev. Chris Layton officiated. Pall bearers were Robert Shows, Earl Barham, Carl Shepherd, Donald Conway, Terry Runnels and Oscar Hollimon. Rev. Buddy Aaron Conway was born September 13, 1926 in Covington, Lousiana. He was the son of Joe Conway and Adelaide Fontleroy. Rev. Conway was a supervisor at Big Yank for 26 years and a Navy veteran of World War II. An ordained minister, he pastored Indian Springs Baptist Church and Temple Baptist Church, both in Petal, Calvary Baptist Church in Durant and Prospect Baptist Church in Richton. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Runnelstown. He is survived by his wife, Betty Conway of Runnelstown; two daughters, Diane Hutchins (Joe) of Prentiss, and Rebecca "Becky" Mayo (Gary) of Runnelstown; a sister, Mary Burkhalter of Riverside, Texas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
