Patricia Ann Courtney

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Bassfield Baptist Church in Bassfield, MS for Mrs. Patricia Ann “Pat“ Courtney, age 72, of Sumrall, MS who passed away Monday, June 7, 2010, at River Regions West-Generations Care Center in Vicksburg, MS. Rev. Ken Roberts officiated. Interment followed in Bassfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Courtney, Michael Courtney, Fred Courtney, Jr., David Baughman, Sam Hathorn, Jonathan Phillips, Darrell Phillips, Mitch Phillips, Jordan Page and Ted Ortiz. Patricia Ann Courtney was born December 31, 1937 in Collins, MS. She was the daughter of Carl Mathis and Clara McRaney. She worked as a Poll Worker at all local elections. She was a very active member of Bassfield Baptist Church. Mrs. Courtney is survived by one daughter, LaCreta (Harvey) Rapotec of Destin, FL, and one sister, Eunice Kirkley of Collins, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Percy E. Courtney, three sisters, and five brothers.
