Patrick D. McDevitt

A memorial mass was said on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 11:00 am by Father Eappen Joseph at St. Peter Catholic Church, Bassfield, MS, for Mr. Patrick D. McDevitt, age 49, who passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010 at his residence in Prentiss. Mr. Patrick David McDevitt was born May 24, 1960 in New Orleans, LA. He was the son of Charles O. McDevitt and Lurena Stringer McDevitt of Bassfield. A native of New Orleans, he moved to the family home in Bassfield, Jefferson Davis County, in 2001. He worked for a time with Kevin Burns Construction, and later worked for DFI in Bassfield, MS. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Mr. McDevitt is survived by his daughter, Bertie Lurena McDevitt of Bassfield, MS and two sisters, Karen McDevitt of Bassfield, MS and Shelia McDevitt Edler of Prentiss, MS, as well as uncles, aunts, and cousins.
