Funeral services were held Saturday, May 8 2010 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Walter E. Lee Jr., age 78, of Prentiss, MS who passed away May 5, 2010 at Regency Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Interment followed at Brady Cemetery. Rev. Shaun Faulkner, Rev. L. C. Anthony and Rev. Ben James officiated. Pall bearers were Walt Moeller, Alex Lee, Bartlee Keisman, C. J. Jenkins, Lee Dungan, Morgan Berry, Mason Berry and Corky Holliman. Honorary Pall Bearers were Rod Harris and the Staff and Doctors of Regency Hospital of Hattiesburg. Mr. Walter English Lee Jr. was born May 29, 1931 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was the son of Walter E. Lee Sr. and Ollie Mae Pate Lee. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked for St. Regis/Georgia Pacific and retired after twenty eight years as an Assistant Pulp Mill Supervisor. He helped build the Family Life Center for the Covington-Jefferson Davis Baptist Association and Lee Goofy Golf. He coached Little League Baseball and was a long time member of the Prentiss Lions Club. He was a Deacon and Member of Prentiss Baptist church. Mr. Lee is survived by his wife, Mary Lee of Prentiss; two daughters, Darlene Gray of Pearl, MS and Charlene McAlpin of Prentiss; one son, Greg Lee of Philadelphia, PA; five grandchildren, Leslee McAlpin, Corie Lee, Alex Lee, Crystal Foster and Tiffany Beckham; two great grandchildren, Shade Foster and Saylor Foster; one brother, Sterling Lee of Anniston, AL; and one sister, Dot Kimbrough of Anniston, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
