Annie Buckley Millis

Funeral services were held Friday, April 23, 2010 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Annie B. Millis, age 103, of Brandon, MS who passed away April 21, 2010 at Brandon Nursing and Rehab Center in Brandon, MS. Interment followed at New Hebron Cemetery. Rev. Mike Dubose and Rev. Kelly Pope officiated. Pall bearers were Thomas Rex Bass, Malcolm Brian Luker, Buddy Buckley, Steve Meadows, Michael Millis and Devin Millis. Mrs. Annie Buckley Millis was born May 1, 1906 in New Hebron, MS. She was the daughter of Thomas R. Buckley and Virginia Thompson Buckley. A native of New Hebron, she had lived in Florence, MS for the last 20 years. She owned the New Hebron Café and had worked at the Riley Mercantile. She was a member of New Hebron Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and the Evergreen Garden Club. Mrs. Millis is survived by her son, Kenneth Millis of Brandon, MS; her daughter, Barbara Meadows of Florence, MS; one grandchild and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, E. M. Millis, four brothers and five sisters.
