Sylvia Ann Powell

Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Powell Family Cemetery in New Hebron, MS for Mrs. Sylvia Ann Powell, age 63, of New Hebron, MS who passed away April 19, 2010 at her residence in New Hebron. Bro. Rod Lowery officiated. Pall bearers were Bill Bianachi, Kevin Powell, Kelly Powell, Craig Powell, John Benson Jr. and Shayne Ready. Mrs. Sylvia Ann Powell was born January 11, 1947 in Mississippi. She was the daughter of Dennie B. Thurman and Olene Lowery Thurman. She worked with her husband at New Hebron Auto Parts for 20 years and also with Georgia Pacific in Security. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Prentiss, MS. Mrs. Powell is survived by her sons, Craig Powell of Jackson, MS, Kevin Powell and Kelly Powell both of New Hebron, MS; a daughter, Kara Powell of New Hebron, MS; a sister, Sarah Benson of New Hebron, MS and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Alvin Powell.
