Funeral services were held Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Billy M. King Funeral Home Chapel in Collins, MS for Mrs. Anne J. Keys, age 91, of Collins, MS who passed away March 28, 2010 at her residence in Collins. Interment followed at Collins City Cemetery. Rev. Roger Puhr officiated. Pall bearers were Jimmy Barrett, Lavelle Upton, Layne Upton, Jimmy Pickering, Jim Durham and Frank Baskin. Honorary pall bearers were Annie Ruth Campbell, Lorraine Folse, Billie Rhea Pudas, Mary Beth Reeves, Dorothy Ann Rogers, Lillian Thomas, Doris Upton, Vickie Little and Betty Bell Gibson. Mrs. Anne Johnson Keys was born August 1, 1918 in Jackson, MS. She was the daughter of Bennie Johnson and Lula Fant Johnson. She was a long time assistant with the Chancery Clerk of Covington County, where her husband, Doyle Keys, was clerk for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Bridge Club and Collins United Methodist Church. Mrs. Keys is survived by her granddaughter, Debbie Lundy of Collins and a great granddaughter, Kayla Lundy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Doyle Keys, her daughter Kaye, her son, Larry, her brother and sister.
