Rev. Richard L Hamilton

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Rev. Richard “Ricky” L. Hamilton, age 55 and Mrs. Colleen Reid Hamilton, age 52, of Prentiss, MS. Rev. Hamilton passed away March 16, 2010 at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss. Mrs. Hamilton passed away March 16, 2010 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Interment followed at Antioch Cemetery. Rev. Ron Ethridge and Rev. Nathan Barber officiated. Pall bearers for Rev. Hamilton were Brad Roberts, Wayne Harvey, Wayne Byrd, Tom marsh, Vernon Terrell and Sam Fletcher. Rev. Richard Larue Hamilton was born January 7, 1955 in Hinds County Mississippi. He was the son of Larue Hamilton and Bonnie Smith Hamilton. He attended William Carey College and New Orleans Theological Seminary. He was the current pastor at First Baptist Church of Sanford. He had faithfully served as a pastor at various churches in Covington County for the past nineteen years. He was also a member of the Local 114 Insulators. Mr. Hamilton is survived by his daughters, Christy Daughdrill of Seminary, MS, Mandy Calhoun of Collins, MS and Laural Hendry of Bassfield, MS; five grandchildren; his mother, Bonnie Hamilton of Prentiss, MS; a brother, Danny Hamilton of Prentiss, MS and a sister, Linda Polk of Prentiss, MS. He was preceded in death by his father, Larue Hamilton.
