Jason Timothy Dewitt

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Santee Baptist Church in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Jason Timothy Dewitt, age 36, of Bassfield, MS who passed away February 23, 2010 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Internment followed at the Santee Baptist Cemetery in Prentiss, MS. Rev. Tony Bagley and Rev. Julius Davis officiated. Pallbearers were Robert Mauldin, Michael Davis, Dickie Davis, Nathan Bourne, Jason Wambolt, Zack Jackson and T. J. Davis. Mr. Jason Timothy Dewitt was born on July 9, 1973 in Pascagoula, MS. He was the son of Jimmy Dewitt and Martha Scovel Dewitt. He worked for the Town of Bassfield Water Department before becoming disabled. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Bassfield Fire Department for 21 years and a member of Santee Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Marleena Dewitt; his children, Timothy and Savannah Dewitt; his parents, Jimmy and Martha Dewitt and his brother, Tommy Dewitt, all of Bassfield.
