Rhett Alexander Smith

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Rhett Alexander Smith, age 21, of Hattiesburg, MS who passed away February 15, 2010 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Internment followed at the Polk Cemetery in Prentiss, MS. Rev. Randy Gardner and Rev. Matt Buckles officiated. Pall bearers were Shane Gilmore, Michael Bowen, Michael Jack, Kyle Smith, Tommy Dossett and Josh McCullough. Mr. Rhett Alexander Smith was born on April 8, 1988 in Memphis, TN. He was the son of Edward N. Smith and Dana Hathorn Smith. He worked at Season’s restaurant in Hattiesburg as a waiter. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his mother, Dana H. Smith of Carson, MS; his father, Edward N. Smith of Vicksburg, MS; his sister, Bridget Adcock (Eric) of Bovina, MS; his grandparents, O’Neal and Sarah Hathorn of Carson, MS and Ed and Mary Smith of Clinton, MS; great grandmother, Gladys Johnson of Clinton, MS and an aunt Teresa Romero of Brandon, MS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway--14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
