Vera R McRaney

Funeral services were held Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Santee Baptist Church in Bassfield, MS for Mrs. Vera Ruth McRaney, age 72, of Prentiss, MS who passed away February 11, 2010 at her residence. Internment followed at Saulters-McRaney Cemetery in Bassfield. Rev. Tony Bagley and Rev. Julius Davis officiated. Pall bearers were Glenn Erving, Kevin Ray, Frankie Roncali, Tony Bryant, John Dyess and John Hutchinson. Honorary pall bearers were James Hutchinson and George Boleware. Mrs. Vera Ruth McRaney was born on December 13, 1937 in Covington County, MS. She was the daughter of J. P. Hutchinson and Inez Saulters Hutchinson. She was a homemaker and a member of Santee Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Bob McRaney, John “Pedro” McRaney (Dawn), and Greg McRaney (Tasha) all of Prentiss, MS; four daughters, Loretta Bole ware (Dennis) and Charlotte Ray (Kevin) both of Prentiss, MS, Kim Erving (Glenn) of Houston, TX; three sisters, Dorothy McDonald of Collins, MS, Hazel Junda and Pat Shell both of New Orleans, LA; four brothers, James David Hutchinson, Danny Hutchinson and Jim Hutchinson all of Bassfield, MS and Grady Hutchinson of Mize, MS; seventeen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Johnny McRaney, a daughter, Patsy McRaney and a grandson, Timothy Charles Buckley.
