Thelma F Bass

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Thelma F. Bass, age 85, of Bassfield, MS who passed away January 17, 2010 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Internment followed at Lowland Cemetery in Bassfield. Rev. Brett Gholson and Rev. Charles Loftin officiated. Pall bearers were her grandsons, Clay Loftin, Cory Loftin, Dan Loftin, Kevin Jenkins, Scott Courtney, Anthony Stuart, Tanner Stuart, Freeman Bass and Connor Bass. Mrs. Thelma Iona Freeman Bass was born on January 6, 1925 in Bassfield, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Clifford Freeman and Cora Broome Freeman. She was a homemaker. She was also a Charter member of Calvary Baptist Church. Her survivors include three sons, Tommy Bass of Bassfield, Charles Bass of Valrico, FL, and Gary Bass of Phoenix, AZ; two daughters, Karen Loftin of Bassfield and Carol Jenkins of Flowood; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas E. Bass and two brothers.
