Talmadge Wilson

Funeral services were held Monday, December 14, 2009 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Talmadge Wilson, age 71, of Carson, MS who passed away December 12, 2009 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Internment followed at Carson Cemetery in Carson. Rev. Varion Stogner and Rev. Tony Bagley officiated. Pall bearers were P. C. Thurman, Gary Wheat, Lynn Holloway, Will Crowdus, Joey Fagan and Gordon Cole. Mr. Talmadge Wilson was born on September 10, 1938 in Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi. He was the son of Van Wilson and Maggie Wilson. He worked for Miller Transport as a mechanic. He had also worked at Sanderson Farms in Collins. He was a member of Carson Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wilson of Carson; daughters, Charlotte Jones of Bassfield and Tammy Ivy of Sumrall; sons, Willie Wilson of Carson and Oscar Hosey of Collins; step-sons, Darrell Sanders of Brookhaven and Gene Sanders Jr. of Urbane, MO; brothers, Richard Wilson and Phil Wilson both of Prentiss and Van Wilson Jr. of Hattiesburg; sisters, Hazel Hosey of Collins, Gladys Wilson, Francis Holbrook and Bessie Hagwood all of Hattiesburg, Vida Mae Polk and Meta Wilson both of Prentiss; thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and a brother.
