Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Nancy Lee Tyrone Riley, age 93, of Ruston, LA who passed away November 28, 2009 at Ruston Nursing & Rehab Center LLC in Ruston, LA. Interment followed at Prentiss Cemetery. Rev. Dale Oden and Rev. Ben James officiated. Pall bearers were Paul Riley, Shannon Lolley, Bob Myers, Matt Parker, Jason Steele and Jonathan Steele. Mrs. Riley was born on December 22, 1915 in Jackson, MS. She was the daughter of Leon Tyrone and Nannie Waller Tyrone of Prentiss, MS. Mrs. Riley lived in Prentiss, MS for most of her life and had resided in Ruston for the past five years. She was a charter member of Prentiss Baptist Church which her father was instrumental in founding. While living in Ruston, she attended Temple Baptist Church. She was a Chemistry Major and graduated from Mississippi Woman’s College (William Carey College). She was a retired public school teacher from the Jefferson Davis County School System. Mrs. Riley is survived by her son Tyrone (Ron) A. Riley and wife Beth of Ruston and her daughter Nancy Riley Stimis of Loganville, GA; ten grandchildren, Paul A. Riley and wife Jennifer; Memrie Riley Lolley and husband Shannon; and Jill Riley Myers and husband Bob all of Ruston, LA; Matthew Parker and wife Sherry of Atlanta, GA; Kathy Parker and Michael Parker both of Loganville, GA; Nicci Riley McNesse and husband Tommy of Sumrall, MS; Lacey Riley Oserbaugh and husband Aaron of Petal, MS; and Allison and Jamie Riley of Prentiss, MS; eighteen great grandchildren and four great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 61 years, Merle Allott Riley and a son, Franklin Leon Riley.
