Donald "Don" L. King

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Sonshine Square Church in Carson, MS for Mr. Donald L. King, Sr., age 68, of Bassfield, MS who passed away November 27, 2009 at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss, MS. Internment followed at King Family Cemetery. Rev. Sharon Easterling, Rev. Randy Easterling and Rev. Robby Hathorn officiated. Pall bearers were Danny Mitchell, George Davis, Ed Crockett, Jery Polk, Tony Martin and Randy Miller. Mr. Donald Louis King, Sr. was born on September 7, 1941 in Bassfield, Mississippi. He was the son of Kenneth Hilton King and Lillian Futrell King. Mr. King was the Owner/Operator of King’s Dozier Service. He was a member of Sonshine Square Church. Mr. King is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol King of Bassfield; daughter Sheila Kinslow (Jim) of Bassfield; sons, Donald L. King, Jr. (Cathy) of Pearland, TX and Patrick W. King (Gloria) of Portland, TX; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
