Hazel B Knight

Funeral services were held Monday, November 23, 2009 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Hazel B. Knight, age 90, of Magee, MS who passed away November 21, 2009 at Hillcrest Nursing Center in Magee, MS. Internment followed at Whitesand Cemetery in Prentiss. Rev. Charles Burnham officiated. Pall bearers were Charles Bridges, Henry Coulter, Larry Coulter, James Bridges, Bob Jones and Randy Bridges. Mrs. Hazel B. Knight was born on September 9, 1919 in Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Orlean Bridges and Ellen Daughdrill Bridges. Mrs. Knight worked as a bookkeeper for the City of Jackson Water Dept. more than 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson and was active in the Sanctuary Choir for a number of years. Mrs. Knight is survived by her sisters, Gladys Coulter and Lillian Hughes both of Newhebron, MS; her brothers, Louis Bridges of Newhebron, MS, B. W. Bridges of Oxford, MS, Charles Bridges of Houston, TX, Nolan Bridges of Collins, MS; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Martin Knight. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Jackson Sanctuary Choir.
