Mary Etta Griffith

Funeral services were held Friday, November 13, 2009 at Whitesand Baptist Church in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Mary Griffith, age 94, of Columbia, MS who passed away November 10, 2009 at The Myrtles Nursing Home in Columbia, MS. Internment followed at Whitesand Cemetery in Prentiss. Rev. Charles Burnham officiated. Pall bearers were Greg Skinner, Michael Griffith, Chip Griffith, Jeff Bansbach, Josh Reggio and Richard Lee. . Mrs. Mary Etta Griffith was born on December 18, 1914 in Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of William Lee and Luna Bridges Lee. Mrs. Griffith was a homemaker. She was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. Mrs. Griffith is survived by her son, Weber Griffith of Collins; a daughter, Kathleen Skinner of Prentiss; a half brother, Hugh Hanberry of Prentiss; four grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, W. L. Griffith and a sister.
