Mary Shoemake

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Shoemake will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Whitesand Baptist Church. Mrs. Shoemake, age 87, passed away from this life on Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Hattiesburg. Reverend Charles Burnham will officiate and Tina Bass will provide the musical service. Interment will be in the Whitesand Cemetery. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be; Tommy Griffith, Jimmy Griffith, Larry Lee, David Lee, Tim Kidd and Rob Kidd. Mary Lee Griffith Shoemake was born on July 23, 1930 in Jefferson Davis County to Tom W. Griffith and Cora Smith Griffith. Mrs. Shoemake was a retired seamstress and was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. Preceding Mrs. Shoemake in death were her mother and father; her husband, Rudolph Shoemake; and 10 brothers and sisters. Survivors are 2 step-daughters, Brenda Cardwell (Ronald) of Georgia, and Sandra Kidd (Ed) of North Carolina; two niece/caretakers, Tammy Griffith and Judy Bridges; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2017 from 5:30pm until 8:00pm at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home.
