The family will have a private service at a later date. Mr. Hollis Slocum, age 89, of Silver Creek, MS passed away November 5, 2017 in Prentiss, MS. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss is in charge of all arrangements. Mr. Slocum was born March 29, 1928 in Marion County, MS. He was the son of Dan Slocum and Effie Dykes Slocum. He was a Roustabout in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Slocum is survived by his wife of fifty two years, Mary Katherine Slocum; one son, Daniel (Kasey) Slocum of Silver Creek and one step-daughter, Kathy Dunnaway; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
