James Howard Brewer

Funeral services will be held Wednesday , November 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Landmark Baptist Church in Carson, MS for Mr. James H. Brewer, age 67, of Columbia, MS who passed away November 5, 2017 in Stone County, MS. Interment will follow in Landmark Cemetery. Reverend Bob Burge will officiate. Pallbearers will be; Shawn Dyess, Ted Dyess, Darrell Dyess, Dale Dyess, Daryl Brewer, Michael Dyess and Wade Brewer. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss is in charge of all arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 8, 2017, from 10:00 to 11:00 before the service at Landmark Baptist Church. Mr. Brewer was born January 6, 1950 in Magee, MS. He was the son of Houston Brewer and Florence Lolar Brewer. He was an Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. He was a former electrician for Hercules. He retired from the oil field. He was an avid auto racer. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. Mr. Brewer is survived by his son, Darrin Brewer of Carson; His daughter, Sherri Brewer of Carson; His former wife, Sharon Dyess Brewer of Carson; Four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; His brother, Bill Brewer (Doris) of Gautier; Three sisters, Faye Lea (Allen) of Brandon, Sue Plunk (Lloyd) of Jackson and Johnnie Brewer of Bunker Hill He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, James Eddie Brewer.
