Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Jerry Morgan, age 68, of Sumrall, MS who passed away September 27, 2017 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Interment will be at Graves Cemetery in Bassfield, MS. Saulters Moore is in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Barry Armstrong will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Cody Culpepper, Bubba Morgan, Timmy Morgan, Jimmy Morgan, Steven Cutway, Tim Manning, Mike Foster and Travis Lee. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Saulters Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss. Mr. Morgan was born August 25, 1949 in Independence, LA. He was the son of James Madison Morgan and Victoria Peco Morgan. He was a retired machine operator for the Louisiana State Highway Department. He was a Baptist. Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife, Linda Morgan of Sumrall, MS; a son, Dewayne Morgan of Oak Grove, KY; two daughters, Marie Lee of Sumrall and Shelly Cutway of Collins, MS; a brother, Ben Morgan of Hammond, LA; a sister Marie Jones of Tickfaw, LA; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; a brother, James Calvin (Jr) Morgan and a sister, Dorothy Ann Newman.
