Sue B Burns

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Sue B. Burns, age 73, of Bassfield, MS who passed away September 24, 2009 at her residence in Bassfield. Internment followed at Prentiss Cemetery in Prentiss, MS. Rev. L. C. Anthony officiated. Pall bearers were Jon Williams, Hank Williams, Richie Arnold, T. J. Ross, Jimmy Ray Bourne and Rickie Williams. Honorary pallbearers were the Prentiss High School Class of 1955. Mrs. Glenda Sue Burns was born September 12, 1936 in Oakvale, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Robert Bourne and Elizabeth “Ted” Polk Bourne. She worked as an LPN with the Jefferson Davis County Extended Care Facility in Prentiss for more than 30 years before retiring. She was a member of Dublin Baptist Church. Mrs. Burns is survived by her husband, Francis Burns of Bassfield; daughters, Gail Williams and Cindy Courtney both of Prentiss; son, Randy Williams of Prentiss; step-daughter, Anita Durgin of Cleburne, TX and a grandaughter, Dora Boling. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Billy Bourne.
