Clyde Raynes

Funeral services, with military honors, will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Clyde N. Raynes, age 84, of Oakvale, MS who passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at his residence in Oakvale, MS. Interment will follow in Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 5:30 to 9:00 PM at Saulters Moore Funeral Home. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss, MS is in charge of arrangements. Reverend Everett Broome will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Barry Tolbird, Jackie Robbins, William Letchworth, Shane McRaney, Brent McRaney, Taylor Barrett and Clay Rutland. Mr. Raynes was born May 11, 1933 in Mississippi to Franklin “Bud” and Nannie McMullen Raynes. He was a Navy Veteran and then went on to work as an offshore worker in the oilfield industry. He was a member of Greens Creek Baptist Church in Carson, MS. He is survived by; his wife, Hazel Raynes; two daughters, Brenda Robbins and Rita Miller; two sons, Donald Scanlan and Robert Scanlan; sixteen grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; one brother, Bill Raynes; three sisters, Bonnie King, Bobby Smith and Janice Bettencourt.
