Doris Jones

Graveside services were held Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Graves Cemetery in Bassfield, MS for Mrs. Doris Vivian Jones, age 71, of Prentiss, MS, who passed away August 31, 2009 at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss. Rev. Rodney Bankens officiated. Pall bearers were Ricky Sistrunk, Tony Gober, Tim Gober, Mike Cochran, Jeff Saulters and Shane Saulters. Mrs. Doris Vivian Jones was born on September 15, 1937 in Jefferson Davis County, MS. She was the daughter of Buford Wilson and Ruth Whitehead Wilson. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Jones is survived by a daughter, Julie Tyner of D’Iberville, MS; sons, Danny “Ducky” Jones and Randy “Roho” Jones both of Prentiss, MS and Gary Jones of Madison, MS; a sister, Linda Gober of Bolton, MS; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lamar Jones, two brothers and a grandchild.
