Funeral services were held Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. King David “K. D.“ May, age 78, of Prentiss, who passed away August 23, 2009 at his residence in Prentiss. Internment followed at Brady Cemetery. Rev. Robbie Hathorn officiated. Pall bearers were Caleb Williams, Hunter Dyess, James Davis, Ritchie Arnold, Jason Bourne, Daniel Graves and Randy Hathorn. Honorary pall bearer was Tristan Magee. Mr. King David May was born May 2, 1931 in Lorman, MS. He was the son of Harvey May and Mildred Windham May. He worked as a Radio Dispatcher and Line Foreman for Southwest Electric Power Association for forty seven years before retiring. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Lorman Baptist Church. Mr. May is survived by his daughters, Geneieve Magee of Prentiss, Ms and Kay Dee Gladzner of Auburn, CA; Mike Henzal of Reno, NV; a brother, Billy May of Tulsa, OK; two sisters, Eileen Wade of Hattiesburg, MS and Inez Anderson of Natchez, MS; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patty Jo May and four brothers.
