Kenneth H. King

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Santee Methodist Church in Bassfield, MS for Mr. Kenneth H. King, age 89, of Hattiesburg, MS, who died Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Windham House in Hattiesburg, MS. Rev. Charles Waddell and Rev. Tony Bagley officiated. Interment followed in the King Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lindsey Jackson, Danny Mitchell, Ed Crockett, Jerry Polk, Jim Kinslow, and George Davis. Mr. Kenneth Hilton King was born on January 27, 1920 in Jefferson Davis County, MS. He was the son of George and Mattie Davis King. He worked as a foreman for Vaughn Construction Co. in Jackson for 30 years. He was a farmer and a Mason. He was a member of Santee Methodist Church. He is survived by one son, Donald King (Carol) of Bassfield; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lillian Lee King, two brothers and four sisters.
