Hallie Rester McNease

Funeral services were held Friday, August 21, 2009 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Bassfield, MS for Mrs. Hallie R. McNease, age 77, of Bassfield, MS who died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Rev. Jackie Cook and Rev. Otho J. Seals officiated. Interment followed in Ebenezer Church Cemetery. Pall bearers were Barry McNease, Doug McNease, Tom Minark, Jeffery Lee, Bobby Seals, and Eric Rester. Mrs. Hallie Marian Rester McNease was born on September 21, 1931 in Pearl River County, MS. She was the daughter of Otho Rester, Sr. and Annie Magehee Rester. She was a homemaker and member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she served as church treasurer for 30 years. Mrs. McNease is survived by one son, Danny McNease of Houston, TX; three daughters, Debi Hanson of Petal, MS, Brenda Knight of St. Augustine, FL, Sandra Dubose of Houston, TX; one brother, Larry Rester of Picayune, MS; three sisters, Betty Jo Seals and Jane Ann Kuhlmann, both of Picayune, Quida Mae Minark of Franklinton, La; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank McNease and a daughter, Melissa Hall.
