Lynn Speights

Funeral Rites for Mr. Alfred Lynn Speights were held Friday, February 17, 2017 at Oakvale Baptist Church. Mr. Speights was 83 years of age and passed away from this life on Monday, February 13, 2013, at his residence in Monticello, MS. Reverend Eddie Myers officiated. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home handled all arrangements. Pallbearers were Lance Speights, Joshua Speights, Larry Torbert, Gonzales, Milton Lambert and Bobby Smith. Mr. Lynn was born in Lawrence County MS on November 12, 1933 to John W. Speights and Effie Hathorn Speights. Mr. Lynn worked as an inspector/consultant in pipeline construction for many years and retired from United Gas Pipeline. He was a member of Oakvale Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one great grandchild and one brother. Survivors are his three sons, Johnnie Speights of Jackson, MS, Jeffrey Speights of Mandeville, LA and Brett Speights (Debbie) of Oakvale, MS; Three grandchildren; Three great grandchildren; One sister, Joan Parkman of Monticello, MS.
