Funeral Services were held Friday November 4, 2016 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Johnny Dean Davis, age 58, of Prentiss, who passed away at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS on October 30, 2016. Interment followed in Stephens Family Cemetery in Silver Creek, MS. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss handled all arrangements. Rev. Jack Andrews officiated. Pallbearers were: Jason Polk, Wayne Hathorn, Chris Hathorn, Jeffrey Polk, Greg Lee, Keith Bridges, Bubba Reynolds and Charlie Dumas. Honorary pallbearers were: Cecil Anderson, Ronnie Shivers, Tim Bryant, William Bass and Chad Shivers. Johnny was born May 9, 1958 in Prentiss, MS. He was the son of Larkin Davis and Bernice Stephens Davis. He was a graduate of Clark College. He was a disc jockey for the radio station and the custodian of the courthouse complex in Prentiss. He was a member of Cherith Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Barbara Toler Davis of Prentiss; His son, James Davis of Prentiss; His daughter, Robin Davis Hood (Dale) of Winnfield, AL; Three brothers, Louis Polk (Jennie) of Columbia, R.D. Polk of Prentiss and Lonnie Polk of Prentiss; His sister, Carolyn Young (Leroy) of Columbia, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; Four brothers, Billy Davis, Bobby Davis, David Polk and Thomas Earl Polk.
