Ann Davis

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Bassfield Baptist Church in Bassfield, MS for Mrs. Ann Rebecca Davis, age 82, of Bassfield, who passed away July 9, 2009 at Hattiesburg Health and Rehab in Hattiesburg. Internment followed at Bassfield Cemetery. Rev. Ken Roberts officiated. Pall bearers were Benjamin Roberts, Richard Davis, Jeff Griffin, Matt Richie, Mark Richie and Doug Griffin. Mrs. Davis born in Bassfield, MS on February 28, 1927 the daughter of Fleet Hiram and Edna McPhail Polk. She was a retired retail clerk and homemaker. She was a member of Bassfield Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Rick Davis of Meridian and Dan Davis of Hattiesburg; brother, Jimmy Polk of Hazlehurst; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Doyle Davis and a daughter, Diane Griffin.
