Funeral Services were held Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 11:00 am at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS., for Mr. Jack Daniel Berry, age 79, who passed away at his residence on July 25, 2016. Interment followed in Prentiss Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss handled all arrangements. Rev. Terry Wallace and Rev. Jessie Holloway officiated. Pallbearers were: S. L. Rogers, Jr., Buster Miller, Ford Berry, Mark Berry, Mike Berry and David Berry. Honorary Bearers were: The Deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Jack was born May 14, 1937 in Tylertown, MS. He was the son of J. P. Berry and Wilda Holmes Smith. He was a graduate of Old Miss. He was a pharmacist for 55 years. He owned Palace Drug Store for a number of years. He worked as the hospital pharmacist for years and served on the hospital Board. He was the chancery clerk for five terms. He was a Deacon and the treasurer of Oak Grove Baptist Church, as well as a Sunday school teacher for many years. He was a farmer and member of the Rotary Club. He loved trail riding. He is survived by his two daughters, Mitzi Roberts of Meridian, MS and Cami Love of Little Rock, AK; four grandchildren, Chad Roberts, Tyler Roberts, Alexie and Hayden Love; Two brothers, Paul Berry of Columbia, CA and Ford Berry of Monticello, MS.
