Funeral Services were held Monday, July 25, 2016 at 10:30 am at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS. for Mr. Maxie Murry King, age 89, who passed away at his residence on July 23, 2016. Interment followed in Dublin Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss handled arrangements. Rev. Rod King and Rev. Benji Sessums officiated. Pall bearers were: Keith Coulter, Benjamin King, David King, Josh King Duane Lail and Mitchell Rousse. Maxie was born April 29, 1927 in Jefferson Davis Co., MS. He was the son of John King and Annie Kirkley King. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He owned the Texaco station in Prentiss for a number of years. He worked as a foreman for Chevron for 25 yrs. He lived in Larose, LA for 31 yrs. He was a member of Carson Baptist Church. He was a Deacon and a Mason. He is survived by his two sons, Ronnie King (Beverly) of Brandon, MS and Rod King (Stacy) of Eunice, LA; Six grandchildren, Heather Lail, Joshua King, Layne Hill, Elizabeth Rousse, David King and Benjamin King. Five great grandchildren, Mallory Lail, Cyale Webb, Amelia Rousse, Micah Rousse and Elijah Rousse; His sister, Polly Lundy of Collins, MS.
