James "Jimmy" Dewitt Sr.

Funeral Services were held Monday, July 18, 2016 at Santee Baptist Church for Mr. James T. Dewitt, Sr., age 76, of Prentiss, MS who passed away at The Extended Care Facility in Prentiss, MS. Interment followed in Santee Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss handled arrangements. Rev. Seth Bond officiated. Pallbearers were: Brad Roberts, Kendall King, Todd Dunn and B.J. Wilson. Mr. Jimmy was born January 20, 1940 in Jefferson Davis County, MS. He was the son of Everitt Dewitt and Jessie Roberts Dewitt. He was a Deacon of Santee Baptist Church. He worked as a self-employed plumber and air conditioner repairman for over 35 years. He served in the Navy for four years from 1958 to 1962. He is survived by his wife, Martha Dewitt of Prentiss, MS; his son, Tommy Dewitt of Bassfield, MS; two grandchildren and one great grandchild; his sister Marilyn Daughtry of Sumrall, MS.
