Berteal "Bert" Loftin Bullock

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Berteal “Bert” Loftin Bullock, age 88, of Prentiss, who passed away June 9, 2009 at the Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss. Internment followed at Bethany Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Broome and Rev. Mike Ewoldt officiated. Pall bearers were George Taylor, Allan Loftin, Joseph Loftin, Perry Jones, Will Jones and Billy Henderson. Honorary pall bearers were James Dale and Buster Miller. Mrs. Bullock was born in Marion County MS on June 20, 1920. She was the daughter of Lester and Tina Blackwell Loftin. During World War II, Mrs. Bullock owned a restaurant in Pascagoula named the “3 Sisters”. After moving to Prentiss, she then worked for KLH as an inspector. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Frances Boleware and husband, Kent of Prentiss; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Tom Bullock, three sisters and six brothers.
