Christine M. Saulters

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Santee Baptist Church in Bassfield, MS for Mrs. Christine M. Saulters, age 72, of Prentiss, who passed away May 25, 2009 at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg. Internment followed at Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tony Bagley officiated. Pall bearers were Jeff Saulters, James King, Billy Moore, Harlon Aultman, Chris King and Greg McRaney. Mrs. Saulters was born in Jefferson Davis County on December 9, 1936 the daughter of Newton and Azzie Graves Moore. She worked for a number of years at Sanderson Farms in Collins. She was a member of Santee Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, David W. Saulters of Prentiss; three sons, Hank Saulters of Sumrall, Clinton Saulters of Sumrall, Samuel ‘Sambo’ Saulters of Prentiss; two daughters, Hilda King of Collins and Joyce Nell Cook of Columbia; a sister, Jean Bayne of Las Vegas, NV; eleven grandchildren; twenty six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
