John Douglas, Jr.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. John Harvey Douglas Jr., age 52, of Carson, who passed away May 2, 2009 at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss. Internment followed at Antioch Cemetery. Rev. Gene Douglas officiated. Pall bearers were William Douglas, Mike Douglas, Lee Barton, Toby Douglas, Ronnie Ramsheer and Roland Lucky. Mr. Douglas was born in Prentiss, MS on September 4, 1956, the son of John Douglas Sr. and Shirley Magee Douglas. He was a resident of Patterson, LA for more than 40 years before returning to Mississippi. He worked as a Pumper with Southern Natural Gas for 16 years. He was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Douglas of Carson; two brothers, Mike Douglas of Carson and William Douglas of Magee; one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his father.
