Robert W. Polk

Graveside services were held Monday March 21, 2016 at Whitesand Cemetery in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Robert W. Polk, age 98, who passed away on March 20, 2016 at Forrest General hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Rev. Billy Bridges officiated. Mr. Robert was born June 5, 1917. He was the son of Aber Polk and Addie Myers Polk. He retired as a cattleman after being a hard working cattle order buyer and owner of his own cattle farm. He was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. He is survived by his three sons, Robert Earl Polk of Purvis, MS, Harold Polk of Brookhaven, MS and Gerald Polk of Madison, MS. Eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Myrtle, wife, Catherine, one brother and three sisters.
