Ruth Hall Daughdrill

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Gussie Ruth Hall Daughdrill, age 82, of Prentiss, MS who passed away April 21, 2009 at the Jefferson Davis Community Hospital Extended Care Facility. Internment followed at Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Broome and Rev. Richard Greene officiated. Pall bearers were Matthew Mathison, Ross Hall, Barrett Jones, Patrick Jones, Wayne Hall and Scott Bridges. Mrs. Daughdrill was born May 15, 1926. She was the daughter of Lawrence L. Ross and Effie Jones Ross. She was the co-owner along with her husband of the Stampede Restaurant in Prentiss for many years. She also worked in the Dietary Department at the Jefferson Davis Community Hospital and at KLH Industries. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Truett Hall of Prentiss; three daughters, Gayle Jones of Dahlonega, GA, Faye Mathison of Germantown, TN and Deanie Pruitt of Prentiss; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Hill of Brandon, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Grover Hall, one sister and five brothers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery Fund in care of Dr. James Russell Dumas, P O Drawer 700, Prentiss, MS 39474.
