Carroll Glen Tagert

Funeral services were held Tuesday January 5, 2016 at Saulters Moore Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Carroll Glen Tagert, age 82, who passed away on January 1, 2016 at Merit Health Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Rev. Charles Loftin officiated. Pallbearers were: Wallace Carson, Jason Tagert, Jason Polk, Terry Graham, Roland Dyess and Conrad Speights. Mr. Glen was born June 16, 1933. He was the son of Frank Tagert and Lois Crawley Tagert. After leaving the Army he worked as a motorman offshore for many years. He then retired after doing carpentry work for the myrtles nursing home. He was a member of Dublin Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Julia Tagert of Columbia, Ms; his son, William Tagert and daughter Lisa Popwell, both of Tylertown, MS; six grandchildren; three brothers, Jessie Tagert of Improve, MS, Claude Tagert of Morgantown, MS and Lonnie Tagert of Columbia, MS; three sisters, Joyce Patrick, Dora Graham and Flora Rutland, all of Columbia, MS.
