Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Tina Mae Boyanton, age 93, of Magee formerly of Bassfield who passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Magee General Hospital in Magee, MS. Internment followed at Shivers Family Cemetery. Rev. Gene Erwin and Rev. Bobby Jones officiated. Pall bearers were Alan Boyanton, Tommy Boyanton, Josh Arinder, John Arinder, Joel Arinder and Mike Boyanton. Mrs. Boyanton was born June 19, 1915 in Lawrence County. She was the daughter of Fulton and Bessie Sills Culpepper. She owned the City Café in New Hebron for ten years. She was a member of Shivers Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She is survived by her sons, James Boyanton of Duncanville, AL, Billy Boyanton of Louin, MS, Bobby Boyanton of Richland, MS; one sister, Marie Clower of Jackson, MS; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde Boyanton, two brothers and one sister.
