Vida Lucille Lee

Funeral services were held Monday, April 6, 2009 at Santee Baptist Church in Bassfield, MS for Mrs. Vida Lucille Lee, age 75, of Bassfield who passed away Friday, April 3, 2009 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Internment followed at Santee Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Tony Bagley and Rev. Jack Andrews officiated. Pall bearers were Robert Chain Jr., Roy Chain, P. J. Cooper, Perry Cooper, Corey Null, Adam Chain, Casey Reid and Tim Whitehead. Mrs. Lee was born January 28, 1934 in Simpson County. She was the daughter of Oliver Bynum and Annie Runnels Bynum. She was a homemaker and a member of Cherith Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, James E. Lee of Bassfield; five sons, John Chain of Bassfield, Robert Chain of Brandon, Jonathan Wade Lee of Florence, James Lee, Jr. of Byram, Anthony W. Lee of Collins; seven daughters, Josephine Pennington of Pocahontas, Betty Larry of Bassfield, Judy Jones of Bassfield, Frances Warren of Gulfport, Connie Rodgers of Leesburg, Lisa Rock of Bassfield, Debra Lee of Magee; one brother, Hollis Bynum of Pearl; one sister, Rea Latham of Jackson; twenty seven grandchildren and thirty five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, two sons, one brother and one sister.
