A Funeral Mass was held Friday, April 3, 2009 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Bassfield, for Mr. Gerald “Jerry” Wayne Donohoo, Sr., age 42, of Carson, MS who passed away Monday, March 30, 2009 at his residence in Carson. Father Eappen Joseph and Bro. Jackie Cooke officiated. Interment followed at St. James Cemetery. Pall Bearers were James Wesley, Jr., Amos Lindsey, Tom Applewhite, Jason Ross, Tony Green, Norbert Barrett, Chad Skinner, Joseph Brock, George Parkman and Charlie Barrett. Gary Lindsey served as an Honorary Pallbearer. Mr. Donohoo was born on July 20, 1966 in Jackson, MS, the son of James Donald Donohoo and Bessie Skinner Donohoo. He worked as a Carpenter with Applewhite Construction before retiring. He is survived by his wife, Karen Donohoo of Carson; three sons, Kyle Walker of Bassfield, MS, Gerald Donohoo, Jr. of Houston, TX, Jerred Shane Donohoo of Carson, MS; two daughters, Shanna Welch of Waynesboro, MS, Brittany Brock of Hattiesburg, MS; two sisters, Kay McKinney of Houston, TX and Linda Graves of Hattiesburg, MS; and four grandchildren, Gage, Gavin and Layla Brock and Madison Whitlock. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Wesley Lindsey, Sr.
