Kenneth Sumrall Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Kenneth N. Sumrall, age 55, of Prentiss who passed away February 13, 2009 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Rev. George McNease and Rev. Bob Goolsby officiated. Pall Bearers were Greg Swales, Doug McHenry, Johnathan Singley, George Wilson, Jimmy Tynes, Ryan Smith and Michael Sumrall. Mr. Kenneth Sumrall was born in New Orleans, LA on July 18, 1953, the son of George and Christine Smith Sumrall. He was a Service Manager for BFI for 10 years and had also worked for 16 years with SRC Trucking. He was a licensed minister. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and taught a men’s Sunday School Class. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Swales Sumrall of Prentiss; one daughter, Alison Smith and husband, John Ryan Smith of Prentiss; one son, Kenneth M Sumrall of Bolton, MS; five sisters, Geraldine Richardson of Mobile, Al, Nancy Volpe of Slidell, LA, Pam Kelly of Lumberton, MS, Anita Strickland of Richton, MS, B.J. Gatwood of Hattiesburg; step mother, Ruby Sumrall of Purvis; two grand daughters--Jasmine and Amber; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Cristy Kay Sumrall, and step brother, Billy Howard.
