Lawrence Cherem

Graveside services were held Friday, February 6, 2009 at Old Greens Creek Cemetery in Carson, MS for Mr. Lawrence Alexander Cherem, age 70, of Carson, MS who died February 4, 2009 at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg. Bro. Dervon Lee officiated. Pall Bearers were Shane Stuart, Brad Stuart, Steve Smith, Karl Hinrichsen, Travis Smith, Thomas Earl Stephens, Lendell Smith and Ted Dyess. Mr. Cherem was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 3, 1939 the son of Gabriel Cherem and Stella Majewska Cherem. He retired after 20 years as a Plant Manager for Hunter Engineering in Raymond, MS. He had also worked for 18 years as a Plant Manager in Electronics with Hewlett-Packard in California. He was a member of Old Greens Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Cherem of Carson; daughter, Becky Smith of Carson; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four sisters, Lyda Huff of Milford, MI, Dianna French of Phoenix, AZ, Paula Bowden of Milford, MI, Geri Ely of Palo Alto, CA; two brothers, Greg Cherem of Corinth, MS and Gabriel Cherem of Ann Arbor, MI.
