Emily Katherine Bishop

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Emily Katherine Bishop, age 79, of Prentiss who died January 24, 2009 at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss, MS. Rev. Charles Broome officiated. Internment followed at Morgan Family Cemetery. Pall Bearers were Billy Morgan, Jimmy Morgan, Steve Morgan, Jerry Morgan, Terry Morgan and Joseph "Joey" Morgan. Mrs. Bishop was born in Opp, Alabama on October 3, 1929 the daughter of William and Lilly Windham. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Roy Bishop of Carson; six sons, Billy Morgan, Jimmy Morgan and Jerry Morgan all of Bassfield, Steve Morgan of Carson, Terry Morgan of Oroville, WA and Joseph Morgan of Seminary; six daughters, Bonnie Graves of Sumrall, Patricia Voight of Bassfield, Darlene Bounds of Carson, Velecia Loftin of Sumrall, Susan Cooley of Prentiss and Shirley Porter of Lucedale; three step sons, John Bishop of Pascagoula, Roy Bishop Jr of Carson and Michael Anthony Bishop of Tampa, FL; thirty six grandchildren; eighty two great grandchildren and seventeen great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, four brothers and three sisters.
